3. If the control solution test result is out of range

PROBABLE CAUSE WHAT TO DO

Error in performing the test.

Read the instruction thor-

oughly and repeat the test

again.

Do not shake the control

solution vial very well.

Shake the control solution

vigorously and repeat the

test again.

Expired or contaminated

control solution.

Check the expiry date or the

discarded date of the control

solution.

Control solution that is too

warm or too cold.

Control solution, monitor,

and test strips should come

to room temperature 68°F to

77°F (20°C to 25°C) before

testing.

Test strip deterioration.

Repeat the test with a new

test strip.

Meter malfunction.
